FAQs
I have a question that I’d really like answered, is there a way to ask questions?
Sure! After you confirm your email, you will get more information on how you can ask your question. A Masterclass Guide PDF is also part of your purchase and includes 15+ answers to specific parents' questions.
I’m not sure if it’s separation anxiety, but my child is nervous about going back to school. Will this help?
The focus of this Masterclass will be on separation anxiety. However, many of the ideas can apply to other situations to help kids overcome fears and worries. A section on “other things to consider” will be a part of this Masterclass, which will touch on common school-based worries like perfectionism, health anxiety, and social anxiety. Feel free to ask school-related anxiety questions during the Q&A portion.
Does my child’s age matter?
Information and strategies will be most applicable for parents of children ages 2-12. Ideas to make tips applicable for babies and teens will be provided, but less of the focus.
Can I register if I live outside of the US?
Yes, this Masterclass is open to parents and grownups worldwide.
What if I care for kids, but I’m not their primary caregiver?
Excellent! We’d love for you to join. Strategies can be used by baby-sitters, daycare providers, teachers, grandparents, and whoever regularly interacts with children. You play an important role in easing transitions and kids’ worries too!
We are already working with a mental health provider on anxiety. Will this interfere?
No, it will likely be a helpful addition. Many mental health providers work with children individually. This Masterclass aims to support parents through kids’ separation anxiety, giving tips to manage tough situations and encourage kids’ bravery. It draws on cognitive-behavioral principles, which is the current gold standard for treatment of child anxiety. Feel free to have a conversation with your child’s mental health provider about how this Masterclass can further support your child’s treatment goals.
